For Porthpean’s “Where Kids Do Cornwall” repositioning, to help sell their summer camps offer, I was brought in to turn a copy-led idea into a bold, visual campaign. The brief was to capture the joy of kids experiencing the Cornish coast, with parents as decision‑makers but children as the emotional audience.
I developed a playful, brush‑style typographic system built around an oversized, hand‑drawn “DO”, with the surrounding words arcing and bending around it. The rough, painted edges and simple white‑on‑colour approach kept the look human and energetic, while remaining flexible enough to sit over photography, flat colour and video.
Using client‑supplied footage, I directed and edited a new hero video, integrating the campaign line and variants like “Where Kids Do Wild” so that key words land on action beats. This treatment now sits at the top of the Porthpean website and extends into a full digital campaign, with static and animated assets for Google Ads and social that deliver instant impact and strong recognition at small sizes.
